Youth have the opportunity to experience and learn new skills in different career areas through career exploration and hands-on activities.

Mentoring

  • Service that the CLC employees provide to the youth throughout the year

Career Preparation Classes

  • like a mini JSAP, Applications, Interviewing, Resume Writing

Job Shadow

  • The students go to local businesses that offer careers that they are interested in.  They tour the facilities, spend time with individuals who are working at there job, and visit with the HR reps to see what skills and qualifications they need to work there.

Internship

  • gives the youth an opportunity to be employed by a company and learn skills that are necessary to perform the work that is required of them.  "On the job training"

Guest Speakers

  • Learn about many different careers from professional in those fields.  The guest speakers volunteer their time and visit the school and share their experience with their occupation.

  • Computer program that offers assessments, college information, resume writing and many more.
